Jahmell Crockam Gets Life In Prison For Lakewood Cop Killing

Authorities say because Crockam was convicted of murdering Patrolman Christopher Matlosz, the law requires a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

Jahmell Crockam Found Guilty Of Murdering Lakewood Cop

A jury has convicted a 20-year-old man of murder in the death of a Lakewood police officer who was shot to death as he sat behind the wheel of his police cruiser last year.

Prosecutor: Suspect Killed Lakewood Cop To Avoid Going To Jail

At the start of Jahmell Crockam’s murder trial, prosecutors said the defendant had vowed several times to friends that he would sooner kill a police officer than go to jail.
