Mark Bovenizer, 41, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, failure to report an accident and failure to maintain lane after driving across a lawn and hitting a mailbox, Hopewell Township police announced.
Amy Locane-Bovenizer faced up to 10 years in prison after a jury in November convicted her of vehicular homicide in the 2010 death of 60-year-old Helene Seeman in Montgomery Township.
Somerset County prosecutors said her blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when the crash occurred on a dark two-lane road in Montgomery Township.
The trial of a former “Melrose Place” actress facing charges of aggravated manslaughter in the death of New Jersey woman began Thursday.
In June 2010, actress and Trenton native Amy Locane was involved in a car crash that ultimately killed a local woman. Locane was later charged with aggravated manslaughter.
