Yellow Cab Owners Fight Back Over Lawsuit Against ‘Virtual Hail’ Apps

New Yorkers may soon pay a little more for taking a cab: The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission held a public hearing on Monday to discuss a proposal that includes a possible increase in taxi fares.

Taxi Commission Approves Livery ‘Street Hail’ Plan

Now, 18,000 livery drivers will be able to buy permits allowing them to pick up fares in upper Manhattan and the outer boroughs.
