Calls Grow For Tolls At Connecticut Borders

Better car mileage has led to a reduction in the amount of money collected from the state’s gas tax, prompting lawmakers to search for a new funding source to pay for much-needed highway and bridge repairs.

Connecticut Senate Grants Approval To Bill That Allows Use Of Medical Marijuana

The measure passed the state’s Senate, 21-to-13, after nearly 10 hours of debate. It now goes to Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, who said in a statement that he plans to sign the bill into law.
