The Red Cross has offered support to those who witnessed Friday’s Midtown shooting near the Empire State Building. The organization is typically known for offering shelter, food and clothing during disasters. But the non-profit also said they help out with cold drinks and snacks for first responders, and mental health services for bystanders who witness traumatic events.

Three of the nine bystanders hit by gunfire during Friday’s Empire State Building shooting remained hospitalized on Saturday morning. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly confirmed that all nine bystanders were hit by police officers’ bullets.
