Despite No-Trade Clause, A-Rod Would Reportedly Accept Trade To Big-Market Team

According to a report, the three-time AL MVP has told close friends that he won’t stand in the way of a trade. It would have to be the right situation, however. The veteran will only accept a trade to a big-market team, the report said.

Kallas: Yankees’ Joe Girardi Is Rearranging Deck Chairs On The Titanic

Coming Off Brilliant Start, Hughes Takes Ball Against Tigers In Must-Win Game 3

“I just have to go out there and pitch, that’s all it boils down to,” Hughes said. “(I can’t) really worry about being down 0-2 or that Verlander is on the mound or that we don’t have our captain. Those sorts of things are going to be wasted energy.”

Keidel: The Hate Against A-Rod Has Become Redundant And Adolescent

Most of us have a slice of sadism in us, so giving at least a little grin while A-Rod flops around the batter’s box like a marlin is understandable. But we’ve now reached redundancy, overkill and adolescent behavior. Let’s leave that to those more qualified.

Well-Rested Kuroda Ready For Critical Start In Friendly Confines Of Yankee Stadium

Though the 37-year-old has thrown more innings — 219 1/3 — in 2012 than in any other of his big league seasons, he’ll be taking the hill on six days’ rest. And he’d be lying if he said the extra days aren’t to his advantage.
