UN Ambassador Susan Rice: Libya Attack Was Spontaneous

Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., said the attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens last Tuesday along with three other Americans appears to be a spontaneous demonstration that was taken over by extremists.

U.S. Officials Say Libya Consulate Attack May Have Been Targeted On 9/11 Anniversary

Ambassador Chris Stevens, 52, was killed when he and a group of embassy employees went to the consulate to try to evacuate staff as the building came under attack by a mob guns and rocket-propelled grenades.
