The Nets are counting on a true home-court advantage against the banged-up Bulls on Saturday night.
Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng made it clear Friday on Twitter that the illness that kept him out of a playoff game against the Brooklyn Nets was far more serious than the flu.
Now both Brooklyn and Chicago face do-or-die scenarios, and you would think that the Nets should have the momentum.
The most pressing matter for Brooklyn is trying to find a way to win in Chicago, something it hasn’t done this season. The Nets dropped both regular-season matchups there and lost Games 3 and 4.
Game 4 hurt the Nets physically and mentally, but there’s nothing they can do about it. They’re focused on Game 5 in Brooklyn.
