New Jersey governor’s race
The partisan gridlock that has hobbled Washington has been largely absent on his watch in New Jersey, Christie likes to say as he campaigns.
Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Democratic opponent Barbara Buono exchanged heated jabs Tuesday, in a debate that also saw multiple interruptions by spectators.
The state senator from Metuchen has already put more than 20,000 miles on her SUV reaching out to voters at places like a strip mall in Bordentown.
Challenger Barbara Buono, a Democrat, had reported raising “just under” $1.9 million, an amount that includes $1.1 million in matching funds.
