The three crewmembers of a ferry boat that hit a pier in Jersey City passed alcohol tests shortly afterward, officials said.
“We live just up here, and we can’t even open the windows because the fumes are absolutely horrendous,” said resident Daiga Chadha.

About five minutes into a trip around 9:30 a.m. an engine overheated on a New York Waterway ferry. The crew shut the engine down and called for help.
