Update: Tri-State Area Mass Transportation Shutdown Underway

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has ordered a system-wide shutdown of the Metropolitan Transit Authority starting at noon Saturday ahead of Hurricane Irene. LIRR, PATH, Metro-North and NJ service will also be suspended.
