Crews in Newark were removing huge mounds of trash Tuesday, after they were dumped at the site of a memorial set up in honor of six family members killed in a fire this summer.
At CBS 2’s request, the 911 tapes were released Monday documenting frantic calls for help as a fire raged through a Newark home earlier this month, leaving six people dead.
The six family members who were killed in a fire in Newark this past weekend all died of smoke inhalation, and their deaths were accidental, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Authorities said a yard full of plastic flowers and other decorations helped ignite a fire that led to the deaths of six people, including two children, in Newark on Sunday.
