A woman who posed as the aunt of a child killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre will be sentenced next week.
Nouel Alba, 37, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty in Bridgeport, Conn., to wire fraud and making false statements, the U.S. attorney’s office said.
A grand jury indicted Nouel Alba, 37, on scheme to defraud and identity theft charges, prosecutors said. Bail was set at $10,000 bond or $1,000 cash.
Nouel Alba was arrested in December after she allegedly tried to swindle donors by posing as a relative of one of the children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Thirty-seven-year-old Nouel Alba was arrested Thursday and charged with lying to FBI agents.
