Security Tight With Ball Drop Ready To Go In Times Square For New Year’s Eve

The glittering 11,875-pound ball was tested Tuesday ahead of the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square, where tens of thousands of revelers are expected to ring in 2015.

Massive Sparkling New Year’s Eve Ball Hoisted Back Atop Its Perch On One Times Square

There was a countdown and cheering as the massive ball made its ascent. Well above the crossroads of the world, the ball featuring 32,256 LED lights will continue its light show throughout the new year.
