This week an A-list comedian was critically injured, a southern chef planned a comeback, and an acclaimed Black actress passed away.
The complaint says Paculis was threatening to go to the media with statements made by Deen unless the former Food Network star gave him $250,000. The complaint does not specify what was in the statements Paculis claimed were made by Deen.
Deen didn’t mince words, saying she is not a racist in her first public appearance since whipping the nation into a frenzy over controversial statements she made about African-Americans.
The celebrity cook and television personality was in New York on Friday, where she recorded an apology that later appeared on YouTube in connection with her admitted past use of racial slurs.
