According to police, the man wanted in the latest hold-up is likely behind an Aug. 28 robbery at the People’s United Bank on Greenwich Avenue and an Aug. 20 robbery at a Wells Fargo in Linden, N.J.
The robber struck a Wells Fargo in Linden on Aug. 20 before hitting a People’s United Bank in Greenwich eight days later.
The robber carried out a bold daytime heist at the People’s United Bank just a half a block from the Metro-North station before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
A Bridgeport woman charged with theft told police she believed the $74,000 that mysteriously appeared in her bank account was “God-sent” after she prayed for relief from her financial problems.
Police said a man entered the bank on 2921 Middle Country Road at 10:25 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money.
You wouldn’t think that a grocery store was a likely spot to get robbed. Police in the Village of Mamaroneck are suggesting otherwise, and want shoppers to remain vigilant.
