NYPD Commish Kelly Credits ‘Proactive Policing’ For Continuing Drop In Crime
In his State of the NYPD address Wednesday, police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly credit “proactive policing strategies” with keeping the murder rate in New York lower than that of any other major city, as well as preventing terrorist attacks.
Ray Kelly: WTC Site To Get Nearly 700 Cops
New York Police Department Commissioner Raymond Kelly spoke about the need for securing the site at an event Tuesday for the nonprofit Police Foundation. The 9/11 memorial will open on Sept. 11, 2011, and after that the new buildings.
