Police have charged a suspect who was injured in a police-involved shooting after they said he attacked two officers during a burglary in Queens.
The suspect was taken to Jamaica Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Mount Vernon police described Anthony Smith, 31, as emotionally disturbed with a history of mental health issues.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. Thursday at Jamaica Avenue and 162nd Street in Jamaica.
