Officials said the dog was “found to be in a severe state of neglect,” underweight, with both of its ears infected and fur heavily matted.
The Putnam County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was seeking information Saturday on whoever abandoned a dog in the Town of Kent.
Gregory Stefkovic allegedly admitted shooting the goose, saying the geese were leaving too many droppings in the area, making it an issue for the children who play there.
Authorities said Blackfoot’s owner reported the cat was shot on Feb. 7 while outside. The shot – either from a high-powered BB gun or a low caliber rifle – paralyzed the cat.
