The New York State Senate on Tuesday approved legislation to rename a bridge in Bellerose, Long Island, for a Nassau County police officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty last fall.
Fuller, 33, is charged with two counts of murder, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and more. He was ordered held without bail and is due back in court next month. He was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs.
Gerald Williams was arrested on weapons possession charges, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said in a statement following the arraignment of Darrell Fuller Thursday in Hempstead.

Officer Arthur Lopez was shot and killed Tuesday morning while he was on patrol on the border between Nassau County and Queens near the southbound entrance ramp of the Cross Island Parkway, officials said.
