A pedestrian was struck and killed early Sunday by a vehicle that went on to hit a tree and flip over in Suffolk County.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld until his family is notified, police said.

Authorities said around 1:30 a.m. Friday, Victor Shultz, 49, was helping a co-worker load a milling machine onto a trailer on the side of Route 25A in Fort Salonga when he was struck by a dark-colored SUV.
