Voters overwhelmingly approved of Gov. Dan Malloy’s handling of Hurricane Irene, but that did not boost his overall rating, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday.
The $40.1 billion budget attempts to tackle the state’s deficit with a combination of cuts, labor savings and wide-ranging tax hikes.
