Two Religious Groups Launching Campaigns Against Anti-Jihad Ads

Last month, following a court order, a controversial ad went up on the subway, saying, “In any war between the civilized man and the savage support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad.”

Religious Groups To Hang Pro-Muslim Ads In NYC Subways

The ads by “Rabbis for Human Rights – North America” and the Christian group “Sojourners” will go up Monday. They’ll hang in the 10 Manhattan subway stations where the anti-jihad ads implying enemies of Israel are “savages” appear.

MTA Announces New Disclaimer Policy For Non-Commercial Advertisements

According to the MTA, the new policy will require non-commercial ads to contain a prominently displayed disclaimer reading, “This is a paid advertisement sponsored by [Sponsor]. The display of this advertisement does not imply MTA’s endorsement of any views expressed.”
