Third Victim Of East River Helicopter Crash Passes Away Sunday

Harriet Nicholson died at Bellevue Hospital of “respiratory complications of near-drowning” — meaning a shortage of oxygen to the brain, according to Ellen Borakove, the medical examiner’s spokeswoman.

Second Female Passenger Aboard Doomed East River Chopper Dies

Bellevue Hospital has confirmed Helen Tamaki, the other female passenger during last week’s helicopter crash in the East River, died Tuesday night.

NTSB Finds No Engine Failure In East River Helicopter Crash

The investigators found no metal particles on a magnetic monitoring device inside the helicopter’s engine that could have indicated damage, said National Transportation Safety Board member Mark Rosekind.
