Four people were killed and more than 60 were injured in the early Sunday morning crash when a train from Poughkeepsie to Grand Central traveling on the Hudson line derailed.
The fire department was called to Vidalia Park shortly before 6 p.m. where first responders found a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg and a 3-year-old boy with a grazing wound to his arm.

Both victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where Louis Garcia, 22, was pronounced dead.

Four people are recovering in the hospital following a stabbing incident at a playground Saturday night. A fight apparently broke out at the Half-Nelson Playground in the Bronx, leaving three women and one man with injuries.
NYPD officer Nelson Vergara was shot in the left shoulder and the right shin and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. He’s in stable condition.
