Stanley Cup Champions
Showing off their grit and determination, the Chicago Blackhawks finally put away the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final.
Alec Martinez scored 14:43 into the second overtime, and the Los Angeles Kings won the Stanley Cup for the second time in three years with a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers in Game 5 on Friday night.
In an almost improbable comeback, the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Boston Bruins 3-2 for their second Stanley Cup title since 2010.
Following the Rangers’ highly successful — yet highly disappointing — 2011-12 campaign, the Blueshirts will have their work cut out for them at the start of the 2012-2013 season. It won’t be easy by any stretch of the imagination.
