A 72-year-old man was killed, and a 64-year-old woman was injured, when a car slammed into them as they crossed a street in Staten Island this week.
Gloria was transported to Staten Island University Hospital in stable condition. His wife, who was home at the time, was also transported and was treated for shock.
Authorities also released surveillance video of the suspect in the hope that someone will be able to identify him.
Killed in the accident were the driver of the SUV, who was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, and the 58-year-old driver of the ambulance.
