County Executive Steve Bellone announced the Department of Public Works has added four new heavy-duty snow vehicles to its fleet.
The tax, which has been approved by voters five times since 1987, is intended to go toward protecting Long Island’s drinking water supply. The tax has raised about $1.5 billion to date.
The county is rolling out the PulsePoint app and is asking anyone trained in CPR to download it and come to the rescue if someone nearby has a heart attack.
