Eight down, four to go. The Jets aren’t wasting any time locking up their draft picks, officially signing six more over the past two days to four-year deals.
The New York Jets picked a pair of wide receivers in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, selecting Oklahoma’s Jalen Saunders at No. 104 and UCLA’s Shaquelle Evans 11 spots later. In the sixth, they took QB Tajh Boyd.
It takes a truly special year by a freshman to deserve the kind of Heisman respect that leads to an invite to New York. Fortunately for Florida State, freshman quarterback Jameis Winston is having just that kind of season so far.
