Life In Prison For N.J. Chemist Who Poisoned, Killed Husband

A Chinese-born chemist who worked for a decade for Bristol-Myers Squibb was sentenced to life in prison in New Jersey Monday, after being convicted of poisoning her husband rather than letting him divorce her.

The woman accused of killing her estranged husband with a chemical used to kill rats said she didn’t do it. Investigators said the crime might have gone unnoticed if not for a quick-thinking nurse.
