With Jeter going on the DL, the Yankees recalled infielder David Adams from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. They also designated infielder Brent Lillibridge for assignment, and Alex Rodriguez was activated from the disabled list.

The shortstop went to Charlotte, N.C., on Thursday for a scheduled visit to see Dr. Robert Anderson, the surgeon who operated on his ankle last October. “He said everything’s healed,” Jeter said. “100 percent healed.”
