The Atlantic City casino that once bore Donald Trump’s name was changing hands Monday. The casino was being bought by Texas-based Landry’s Restaurants, which is renaming it the Golden Nugget Atlantic City.
Chief Executive Officer Bob Griffin said those laid off include executives and hourly workers at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino and Trump Marina Hotel Casino.
Robert Griffin’s tenure with the industry trade group will begin Nov. 15, the same day he starts his new job with the Trump casinos.
The New Jersey Casino Control Commission granted approval to Robert Griffin to serve as CEO of Trump Entertainment Resorts.
