Consolidated Edison Inc. and the Utility Workers of America Union Local 1-2 are meeting again in an effort to end the almost 2-week-old lockout.
The agency’s board eliminated giving a day’s pay for every two consecutive months that workers showed up no more than 30 minutes late. The board also ended the 40-year practice that allowed workers to convert vacation and sick days to cash.
They’re trying to save thousands of jobs. District 37 Union members and their supporters called the encampment “Bloombergville.”
