Ceremony At Intrepid Museum Marks 71st Anniversary Of Pearl Harbor Attack

Survivors from the New York metropolitan area and former USS Intrepid crew members placed a wreath in the Hudson River in remembrance of the 2,390 service members and 49 civilians killed in the attack.

Newest Navy Destroyer Pays Tribute To SEAL From Long Island

The USS Michael Murphy, a 510-foot destroyer, is being commissioned this weekend in New York City for a Long Island native and Navy lieutenant who became the first American awarded the Medal of Honor during the Afghanistan War when he was killed along with two fellow SEALs during an ambush in 2005.
