US Open Site Wins Approval For $500 Million Expansion Plan

The City Council voted 47 to 1 to allow the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park to tear down two old stadiums that were built for the 1964 World’s Fair and build two new stadiums in their place.
