On July 3rd, police say vandals destroyed several American flags flying on either side of the Mianus River Bridge in Greenwich. That was bad enough.

Vandals Suspected In Fire That Destroyed NJ Playground

The playground at the Lynn Crest Elementary School in the Colonia section of Woodbridge, NJ was burned to the ground. The jungle-gym was set on fire over the weekend, according to police.

Allan Swafford has been charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal mischief and burglary. Police say he was at the controls of a stolen excavator that was used to wreck a brand new playground in Far Rockaway.

Police said on Wednesday night, several statues outside the Visitation Academy were knocked off their pedestals. A statue of a lamb was also decapitated.

Pastor Terrence Webber said when he arrived at Trinity St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Maspeth around 8 a.m. Wednesday, he noticed a Star of David with a swastika in the center painted on the Church office door.

Police: Suspect In Brooklyn Hate Crimes Being Questioned

A Manhattan man has been arrested in connection with a series of hate crimes. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force has been investigating a number of hate crimes in the city since early December, including a number of anti-Semitic phone calls as well as anti-Semitic graffiti and vandalism.

Police Offer $1,000 Reward In Search For Vandals Desecrating Yonkers Religious Statues

Vandals hit eight times, desecrating nativity scenes across the area. So far no arrests have been made, but if and when the perpetrators are caught, it will be prosecuted as a hate crime and could be a felony, police said.
