Police said Wednesday that alcohol might have played a role in the death of a Long Island teen whose body washed up on Lake Michigan, after he went missing from a party at Northwestern University outside Chicago.
A fisherman found the 18-year-old’s body Thursday night in Wilmette Harbor, a few miles north of Evanston, six days after he disappeared after leaving an off-campus party near Northwestern University in suburban Chicago.
Investigators said there were no signs of foul play when 18-year-old sophomore Harsha Maddula’s body was found in the water in Wilmette Harbor around 7 p.m. Thursday, the school said in a statement posted on its website.
