Who’s More Sad? Packers Player Who Nearly Blocked 49ers’ Game-Winning Field Goal Or Eeyore?

Ok so cards on the table, I didn’t have a dog in that 49ers-Packers game last week. But you can’t help feeling a little lousy for the Packers player who was this close to blocking the Niners’ last second field goal, which sealed the win. Just how close was he? You tell me.

Now, Green Bay isn’t a kind place to lose a football game. That fella’s gotta be pretty sad right now. But it got us thinking – is he sadder than Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh? Let’s go to the tape.

Do I Know His Name?
Winner Nope. It's too depressing to look up. I'm happy leaving him anonymous.
Yes, it's Eeyore.
Live in?
Winner Green Bay. *Shudder*
The rural Hundred-Acre Woods.
Strong Support Group?
Winner After Green Bay snuck into the playoffs? I can’t imagine he’s amongst friendly faces.
Why of course! Between Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and the rest, Eeyore is surrounded by supporting friends.
Defeated by?
The 49ers.
Winner Self.
Does Anyone Celebrate Him?
Winner I’m going with "no."
Yep! Austin, TX actually celebrates his birthday every April.
Who’d He Let Down?
Winner All-around good guy and mustachioed man Aaron Rodgers, who just came back from an injury.
No one, really. He’s just kinda mopey.
Consoles Self With?
Winner Probably cheese.

Winner Sad Packer Player
6 out of 7

Oh my, ladies and gentlemen. He might have lost the game, but he’s won this one in a big way. With a dominant score of 6-1, the Packer Player who missed the field goal block is the saddest creature out there. Whomp whomp.

Peyton Manning appears to have come to terms with the deficiencies in his game at this point. He can no longer whistle the ball downfield at the last minute, and some medium-range passes are difficult as well.
