You'll be sure to find one to suit your fancy on this list. Read on for a sample of some of the best new cocktail bars to visit in New York City.

You'll know it's okay to step inside this fun bar because its newest edition in Chelsea is one of five under this organization, which has been in the business since 2004. This incarnation opened in June of 2014 and in six short months has designed various activities for customers to enjoy such as "Devil's Night." Amazing cocktails aren't the only thing that will delight your taste buds at Barcade. It also has an extensive food menu with tasty items such as chicken and waffle grilled cheese.

Are you a fan of other New York mainstays such as Jones Wood Foundry, The Peacock and The Shakespeare? Well, Dear Irving is the newest edition to that cocktail bar family. The folks at Dear Irving have an interesting spin on the bar scene. At Dear Irving, you'll find yourself immersed back in time as each room has its own historical theme such as the JFK room or the Abraham Lincoln room. What's more, is that you won't even have to wait to give your cocktail order as each table has its own buzzer for service.

Fool's Gold opened its doors in 2014 and hosts an extensive cocktail list. Feeling spontaneous? Try the "Make Me Something Good" which consists of whatever you and the bartender decide to come up with, or settle for the "Act Naturally," which is a combination of Mellow corn whiskey, grapefruit, lemon and raspberry. It also has an assortment of snacks to indulge in such as a classic BLT.

Director of Bar Operations Brian Bartels is the brains behind Bar Sardine's winning cocktail list. The owners of this West Village bar seek to provide patrons with a friendly neighborhood feel. Despite the fact that Bar Sardine is new, its food is already a rave with critics. While sipping your cocktail, give one of their delicious burgers a try.

Grand Banks is closed for the winter but it made the list because of its unique premise. This new bar is located entirely on F/V Sherman Zwicker, a historic schooner. The Grand Banks also works to support maritime educational efforts so you might be able to catch a lecture or exhibition during your visit. Be sure to check it out when it reopens on the Tribeca Pier in the spring of 2015 when cocktails such as the "Jungle Bird" (Blackstrap Rum, Campari, Pineapple, Lime) will be waiting for you.
