The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi are well under way and while many of our nation’s best athletes compete for the gold, we have compiled our top three medalists for the best Olympics-inspired cocktail in New York City.

In celebration of the Winter Games, Moran’s Chelsea borrowed from an iconic Olympics symbol when they created The Golden Torch. The liquid gold cocktail is made up of brewed ginger tea mixed with bourbon and garnished with a rim of honey and brown sugar around the glass. Yum! But be sure to head over to Moran’s Chelsea to enjoy the games and The Gold Torch by Feb. 23, this specialty is only being offered during the Olympics.

If you’re interested in going for the gold then perhaps the Sochi Gold cocktail served at The World Bar is just what you need. Consisting of Russian vodka, yellow peach and ginger puree, champagne, and a gold leaf and lemon wheel garnish, this cocktail is sure to be a crowd pleaser. This Olympics-inspired elixir is only available through the Olympics Closing Ceremony on Feb. 23 so be sure to bring a few friends and toast to the American athletes trying their all to bring home the gold for the U.S.

The Winter Olympics may be a half a world away but that didn’t stop Two E Bar/Lounge at The Pierre, Taj Hotel from getting into the spirit with an entire menu dedicated to Olympics-themed cocktails. Each of their five cocktails are inspired by the colors of the Olympic rings and each one features a clever Winter Games name to boot. While you’re there watching your favorite Olympians compete, perhaps you’ll weigh in on which of these cocktails should win a gold medal.  Two E Bar/Lounge is also hosting a Sochi Olympics Closing Ceremony viewing party on Feb. 23 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
