New York is filled with a wide-range of exciting events and activities to celebrate the 4th of July — fireworks, festivals, and more. However, the 4th of July in New York will also feature a myriad of concerts, of which we have highlighted some of the best. Throughout New York, the 4th of July concerts range from completely free to on the higher end of ticketing prices. Led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, The Beach Boys perform at The Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk on the 4th of July. This shows marks the grand opening weekend of the concert venue, which is semi-outdoor and stands at a 5,000-person capacity.

Popa Chubby will headline B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on the 4th of July for the venue's 2nd Annual Independence Day Celebration. For the night, Chubby will solely play music from his album "Electric Chubbyland." The album serves as two-disc set of Chubby performing covers of Jimi Hendrix's music. For general admission, tickets are on a first come, first serve basis.

Long Island-based Surf Lodge, is hosting a concert series all throughout summer 2016. Boy & Bear will be headlining the series 4th of July festivities at this favorite Montauk locale. Other performers for the concert series include Chromeo, Porches, and Milky Chance. Previously, guest artists have also appeared during The Surf Lodge's free concert series, including Jimmy Buffett and Rita Ora.

Mingus Big Band will continue their "Mingus Monday" residency at Jazz Standard on the 4th of July. The evening will feature two sets from the band --one  at 7:30 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m. The jazz club opened in the late 1990s and has since featured world-class jazz and award-winning Southern food. The venue aims to host both legendary jazz artists and up-and-comers.

House of Yes' 4th of July celebration aspires to help audiences experience the lively USO parties of the 1940s. The venue's "Stars & Stripes Swing Canteen" is a Swing Era-style celebration that is hosted by Dances of Vice. The evening will feature swing dancing, vintage cars and big band music from George Gee Swing Orchestra.
