Good Enough To Eat has been serving up home-cooked food to its devoted customers since 1981. Piping hot buttermilk biscuits with strawberry butter accompany any omelette or egg dish while the Peter Paul Pancakes (pancakes with Belgian chocolate and coconut, topped with toasted coconut) and the Bacon Waffle (filled with pieces of double-smoked bacon) are just a few of the favorites on the menu. Accompany your meal with a build your own Bloody Mary with blue cheese-stuffed olives or a thick but of sugar-cured bacon as a garnish or sip on a refreshing mimosa. Reasonable prices and a family friendly crowd make this place a go-to spot for Upper Westsiders.

Dog lovers will appreciate Fred's on the corner of Amsterdam and W. 83rd St. This American Bistro is named after a female black Labrador Retriever, who embodies everything the restaurants stands for – loyalty, reliability, an ingrained need to please, and a playful spirit. Walk down the stairs through a bustling bar scene and turn the corner into the charming breakfast nook area. Nosh on a traditional eggs benedict or try the salmon or crab cake versions. Fred's French Toast is made with New York's Best Cinnamon-Raisin Bread from Orwashers Bakery. Those craving lunch can choose from the classic Fred's 8 oz. burger, hearty mushroom ravioli, or fresh cobb salad with homemade vinaigrette or bleu cheese dressing. Enjoy the prix fixe brunch menu ($16.95) which includes house bloody mary, bellini, mimosa, or juice and coffee or tea and don't forget the homemade muffins. Warning: you may want to adopt a dog on your way out after viewing all the great dog photos hanging up on the walls!

Jacob's Pickles has quite the extensive brunch menu. To start, try the broiled grapefruit, fried pickles, deviled eggs, or grit crusted fried green tomatoes before moving onto something more substantial. Try one of the tasty biscuit breakfast sandwiches or just stick to the biscuits with all the fixings – house strawberry and orange preserves, clover honey, salted butter, and maple butter. Choose from a variety of pickled treats like the special sour cukes, thyme jalapenos, pickled eggs, candy red beets, sweet & spicy carrots, or dilly green beans. If you're in the mood for a non-breakfast order we suggest the mushroom mac and cheese, shrimp and bacon grits, or catfish tacos. Pair it with one of their many craft beers on tap and you've got yourself one hearty meal.

Sarabeth's is a NYC staple with many locations throughout the city. Known for its legendary muffins and preserves, there's plenty of other dishes that are just as delicious. Try the "Green & White," scrambled eggs, scallions, and cream cheese for $17 or Short Rib Hash with baked eggs, poblanos, and tomatillo salsa. If you feel like splurging, go for the Maine Lobster Roll with coleslaw and housemade potato chips. Sip on a Pickled Bloody Mary (add jumbo shrimp for $3) or a Five Flowers Mimosa, made with orange, fresh pineapple, banana, and pomegranate juice. Buy a jar of preserves on your way out and call it a day.
