Seatings for Christmas dinner at Blaue Gans, a restaurant in Tribeca that focuses on rustic, wholesome Austro-German cuisine, begin at 12 pm and run until 9 pm. The $90, three-course prix fixe meal includes such options as lobster with spatzle, crispy salmon, wiener schnitzel (pictured), and roasted goose, along with chestnut ice cream, Mohr im Hemd (a traditional Austrian dessert that's similar to chocolate bundt cake), and a selection of holiday cookies.

For Christmas, this restaurant with three NYC locations will offer such choice morsels as roasted suckling pig, blood sausage croquettes, and charcuterie like Jamón Iberico (pictured). Celebrate the season with a glass of sparkling cava, house sangria, or a cocktail such as the shishito margarita, made with tequila infused with shishito peppers, lime, and simple syrup.
