The annual Halloween Sleepover at the American Museum of Natural History is any kid's fantasy experience. As the museum closes, guests head out with flashlights in search of a variety of adventures. Sleepover events take place from July to December but on one special night in October, All Hollow's Eve takes over and the experience is enchanting. The Halloween sleepover includes costume contests, trick-or-treating and spooky snacks all planned against the backdrop of one of New York's most fascinating museums.

The infamous party, which is already sold out for 2014 (tickets will be available at the door), is creepy debauchery at its best. All four floors of Webster Hall are transformed into a spooky den of dancing and fire-wielding performers. There's also a $5,000 cash prize for the best costume. Participants take the contest seriously, so come dressed to impress.
