Spend your Thursday evenings in September at Bryant Park perfecting your favorite yoga pose. Every week from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. you can grab a spot on the lawn and practice your downward dog with professional instructors, courtesy of Yoga Journal and Athleta. Focus on trying out new techniques or strengthening old ones. Either way, you'll sweat it out (along with thousands of other people). Mats are provided by Athleta so no need to bring your own (unless you want to). There's a different instructor every week so make sure to check out his or her profile on Bryant Park's website before the class begins. The best part? It's free!

Just a few of this year's participants include Dough, Gramercy Tavern, Blue Smoke, Morton's Grille, Republic, and Strip House. There will also be plenty of microbrews and local wines to try, too. So come get your grub on! Those itching to put on their boat shoes should head to the Grand Banks for a day of eating Atlantic oyster and drinking nautically inspired cocktails. The boat itself, named Sherman Zwicker, was built of heavy timber and was one of the first and last of her kind to be built. Sit back and get some sun while enjoying a menu of ingredient-driven small plates like Fried Squash Blossoms, Scallop Ceviche, and their highly acclaimed Lobster Roll. Sip on fun cocktails like the Painkiller – white rum, coconut cream, pineapple, and orange – or how about a Negroni Sbaglito – sparkling wine, Campari, and sweet vermouth. They don't accept reservations but if there is a wait to be seated, chill out on the deck bar and enjoy the view of the harbor. They'll even text you when your table is ready. So step aboard and feel like a sailor (for a day at least).
