Q: What’s your name, and where are we today?
A: My name is Cynthia and we’re on 125th Street.
Q: What brings you here today?
A: I’m vending, working.
Q: Is business the main use for your car?
A: Yes, pretty much just for business.
Q: Can you tell me the specs of your car?
A: It’s a Ford Windstar LX. I think it’s 2005. If I didn’t have this car, I’d be in trouble, because I use it to transport all of my goods. It’s like my office. I’ve got everything in there. I lost my job in 2008, so I opened my own business. I’ve been doing it ever since. I need this car. I can’t do it on a bike. It gets me where I need to go. I really need it.
Q: What’s your zip code?
A: I live in 10467.
Q: If you could go anywhere on a day trip, where would you go?
A: I guess I would go somewhere where I could make money selling my stuff.
Q: What’s the furthest you’ve driven in your car?
A: Florida. New York to Florida and back.
Q: Where did you buy your car?
A: I got it from a guy who does detail work in Brooklyn. I got a good deal on it too.
Q: What else would you like to say?
A: LoveLeah Creations is the name of my company. My daughter designed six of these. She designed the Obama when she was 14 years old. And she’s been doing it for about three years. She did this one with the afro-puffs. We sell them all to the tourists from all over the world. Come and find us. Just past the Apollo if you’re going west on 125th.
Q: Anything else?
A: Thank you for the interview.
Q: Thank you for the interview. Love the shirts.
A: Thank you!
