THE DEFENSE

Q: What’s your name and where are we today?

A: My name is Xenola and I’m working on 125th Street. I’m a vendor.

Q: Is business the main use for your car?

A: I use it for business and for travel. I haven’t used it yet for travel lately because I’ve been so busy working, but I’d like to travel to Florida.

Q: Can you please tell me the specs of your car?

A: It’s a 2007 Honda Odyssey. It has about 43,000 miles.

Q: Where do you live?

A: I live in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, 11238.

Q: If you could go anywhere on a day trip, where would you go?

A: Like I said, I’d love to go to Florida, but I’m too busy with work these days.

Q: Are there any rules for people who ride in your car?

A: Of course the usual, no smoking and no drinking. Other than that, it’s a free spirit vehicle.

Q: If your car had an emotion, what would it be?

A: It’s a great car. It’s perfect. Its nickname is reliable. I’m not sure about the emotion though.

Q: Tell me some more about your car’s uses.

A: I sell vintage music, music from the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s. I use my vehicle to transport my merchandise.

Q: What else would you like to tell the beautiful visitors here at Defend Your Ride, CBS New York.

A: If you want to find the best in vintage music, come find me at 125th and 8th by the Apollo. Now if you’ll kindly excuse me, I have to get back to business. Yes ma’am. Williams Brothers? One second. Yes sir? The Bar-Kays are sold out at this moment.
