The area stretches from Lexington Avenue to the East River with 34th Street as its northern border and 23rd Street as its southern border. While it has evolved and moved its location throughout the years, it remains a place people can view prints of American artists from the twentieth century. These works of art may cost you a pretty penny, but it gives you a chance to own a piece of American history.

TO EAT: Tucked away from First Avenue, Riverpark is a hidden gem that overlooks the East River. Owned by famed restaurateur Tom Colicchio, Riverpark serves modern American dishes with ingredients from its urban farm across the street. The spacious interior welcomes diners as the perfect backdrop for a business lunch or a romantic dinner. Although the menu is constantly rotating based on the available ingredients from the farm, some staple dishes include the Buffalo's Milk Burrata with honey crisp apples, squash and toasted oats, and the Spaghetti Carbonara.

With a complete devotion to the art of pinball, this arcade gives people the chance to look at their huge collection dating back to the 1970s. TO DRINK: After spending the day exploring Kips Bay or playing pinball next door, people can have a few drinks at The Mad Hatter Saloon. New Yorkers will feel like they're transported to United Kingdom with their bright red phone booth, Manchester City Football flags on display and other English memorabilia. Besides an array of beers on draft, The Mad Hatter Saloon serves British-inspired fares, including Baked Cottage Pie, Giant Chippy Sausage and Bangers n' Mash. The Kips Bay pub is the official hangout of the Manchester City Football Club of New York, which screens the games throughout the bar. As the weather get warmer, New Yorkers can head to their outdoor beer garden -- an ideal spot to order a beer and unwind.
