Break out your best 90s fashion ladies, because choker necklaces are back in style. These decorative neck pieces are the perfect little accessory, whether you need to spice up a basic outfit, or you're looking to wow others with a statement piece. The best part? You can find some pretty elegant ones for next to nothing. Forever 21 carries satin, velvet, and even floral lace chokers for less than $10, while Urban Outfitters is the place to find layered and snake chain necklaces. If you're looking for something more specific, try your luck on Etsy, where you can find everything from quaint vintage pieces to chokers with natural stones like turquoise and pearls. Of course, you can never go wrong with the classic tattoo choker – the kind that started it all!

Another trend we're seeing all over the streets of New York (and beyond) is the gothic look – mainly a dark lip. A rich berry hue with black liner will really stand out against a lighter or bleached eyebrow. Opt for a matte finish rather than a glossy one for an even more dramatic effect. Kat Von D makes an Everlasting Liquid Lipstick that dries matte if you're looking for a quick and easy way to get this look – try Damned (a black cherry shade) or Witches (a pitch black.) Next time you stop into Target, make sure to check out NYX's Extra Creamy Lipstick in Chaos ($3.99). This rich and highly-pigmented lip color goes on smooth and even has a bit of fragrance to it. Another great find is Nars' Lipstick in the shade Fast Ride, which is definitely dark but is available in semi matte, satin, or sheer.

Everyone can always use a little glimmer in their life. The newest eyeshadow trend is definitely a copper penny lid. Mac makes it easy to create this look with a variety of metallic products including paint pots, pigments, and extra-dimension eye shadows. You can also dip your eyeshadow brush in a little bit of water to create a shiny look with any powder eyeshadow you have on hand. One of our favorites is BareMinerals' Eyecolor in Crushed Copper or their Liner Shadow in Hottie. Keep the rest of your face natural to really make your eyes pop.

You may have noticed that the half-up high ponytail (aka the hun) is definitely on trend this season (thanks Ariana Grande). Whether you have long or short hair, every girl can test out this fun hairstyle that's both volumizing and laid-back at the same time. Use a bit of texturizing spray, twist the top section of your hair into a bun or ponytail, and secure with an elastic. Just make sure you find the perfect spot on your head so your hair falls naturally as it should. Tease the loose ends of your hair for a bit of a tousled look and of course, you can always add in some hair extensions to make this look even more va-va-voom!
