Dancing is an art form, and whether you want to watch or join in on the fun, New York parks are hosting free outdoor events for you to enjoy. Here are a few of the best live dance events coming to a park near you.

Arts, Culture & Fun Presents: Dance Away The Night – Tango!

The Strictly Tango NYC Dance School is bringing authentic tango dancing to Washington Square Park for free. On Tuesday evening, you can join the festivities with friends or solo. Partner up with a new face to learn the vibrant Argentine dance, or sit back, relax and enjoy the live music, stories and dancing.

World's Fair Pavilion Open To Public For One Day To Celebrate 50th Anniversary
The Unisphere is viewed near the New York State Pavilion as part on a tour during festivities marking the 50th anniversary of the 1964 World's Fair, which opened in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on April 22, 2014. If you are familiar with salsa dancing, then you know you can expect a lot of dancing, laughing and fun at this event. Salsa Warriors is bringing the fun to Flushing Meadows Corona Park with a live band, dancing lessons and endless amounts of dancing. Salsa dancing is also a great form of exercise; you can burn the calories away while having a good time and not even realizing it.

Bring the kids along for this show to see Chinese Acrobat Li Liu perform at the Van Cortland Park. Li Liu is an astonishing acrobatic performer who has traveled and performed all over the world, including a tour with the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus in the United States. This is a must see event for everyone of all ages to enjoy.

Square dance the night away with City Stompers' dance instructors. Prepare to be on your feet and dance to the live American fiddle music band that will be playing in Brooklyn's John J Carty Park.

Two DJs will be mixing up multiple genres, and with a click of button, you can be dancing along with your friends or moving to your own beat.
